How shared attendance ends awkward money talks
When both sides agree on each session as it happens, the end of the month stops being a negotiation.
Most awkward money conversations between a coach and a parent are not really about money. They are about what happened: which sessions took place, which ones were cancelled, and who cancelled them.
Agree on the session, not the invoice
If you only compare notes at the end of the month, you are trying to agree on four weeks at once. With Sesslynx, each session is agreed on within a day or two. One side marks it. The other side confirms or disputes it. Anything left alone auto-confirms after 48 hours.
By the time the monthly statement arrives, there is nothing to negotiate. Both sides have already seen and accepted every line.
Clear statuses, clear rules
Sesslynx uses six statuses: present, no-show, absent with notice, late cancel, coach cancelled, and makeup. Coaches set their late-cancel and no-show policies once, and they are applied the same way every time. When a coach cancels, the kid earns a makeup credit.
That takes the judgment call out of the moment. Nobody has to decide, at pickup, whether this one counts.
Pending is not the same as owed
Every balance in Sesslynx is split into confirmed and pending. A disputed session stays pending until it is sorted out, so a disagreement about one class never muddies the rest of the month.
Payments that both sides see
When a parent pays by Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check, either side can record it. If the parent records it, the coach acknowledges it. Then it comes off the balance, and both sides see the same number.
None of this replaces the relationship between a coach and a family. It just gives them the same page to read from.
